Green Initiative between CPSBB and Trakia Municipality


CPSBB representatives met with the local authorities of the Trakia Municipality to discuss potential partnerships, good practices and marked the start of a joint Green Initiative. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasil Kolev and Dr. Nikola Staykov had a discussion with the Mayor of Trakia Municipality Mr. Kostadin Dimitrov and the Head of Ecology Department Mrs. Venelina Vidolova (from left to right in the picture), on the progress of the PlantaSYST project and the building of a new CPSBB scientific campus. Dr. Kolev emphasized the importance of developing the science in the region, future opportunities and the impact that the new campus will provide on the urban landscape. The joint initiative aims to provide clean air and a better environment for the district by tree-planting and actively involve local authorities, schools, and residents in the yearly reforestation campaigns.
