The event for the year 2018 was organised by CPSBB (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vesela Kazashka) and MVCRI (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitrina Kostova) on September 28, with the support of the European Commission as a part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions, funded under the Horizon 2020 programme (projects K-Trio3 and REFRESH). It took place on the premises of the Center of Plant Systems Biology and Biotechnology (CPSBB) and the “Maritza” Vegetable Crops Research Institute (MVCRI). CPSBB employees participated in the preparation, organisation and realisation of the event.
The European Scientists’ Night began with a presentation of the projects of CPSBB – PlantaSYST and RESIST. The guests had the opportunity to get many information materials about those projects.
Then there was a presentation entitled “European Corner – Modern Technologies and Their Impact on Man and Nature”.
A series of presentations of foreign scientists working in the CPSBB followed with a subject “Europe, America or Asia – the Better Place for Science and Education”. The Director of CPSBB Assoc Prof. Dr. Tsanko Gechev moderated the talk
After that for the youngest audience, there was a series of entertaining and exciting experiments in the MVCRI laboratories.
