European Organic Congress 2020

Mr. Petar Kazakov, the marketing expert of CPSBB, participated in the European Organic Congress, held online on 1-3 July 2020.

The main Congress’ aim was to fuel the discussion on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy and how the latter can contribute to healthy farms, a healthy food sector, and a healthy society. The audience engaged in an analysis of the possible synergies between the EU, its Member States, regions, and cities, with reference to the development of a new organic action plan.

The topics included the EU Organic Regulation, an Organic Action Plan, the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy, the Farm to Fork Strategy as well as the possible impact of COVID-19 on our food and farming system. Opening speeches by Julia Klöckner – German Minister for Food and Agriculture, Felix Prinz Zu Löwenstein – Chairman, BÖLW, and Jan Plagge – President, IFOAM Organics Europe.
